Lisa & Steven’s wedding

On Saturday, June 7th we shot Lisa and Steven’s wedding. This was one of the most enjoyable wedding we’ve shot all year. They are a great couple and really have fun together. We got some of the best shots of the year just because they are always doing something funny.

Congratulations, guys.

You can view the rest of the shots here.

Great shots… I am shooting my first wedding in August for my son (no pressure), have been trying to pick up some pointers from your pics over the last few months.

Finally picked up my D300, waiting on my 17-55m for some portraits. Your shoot here looks great. Thanks for sharing it.

Most of these were shot with the 17-55 2.8. Amazing lens.

My advice to you: don’t shoot your son’s wedding! :)

You need to enjoy that day. I enjoy shooting weddings, but I’m also not able to enjoy them like the family does because I’m constantly focused on the photo side of things.

    Congrats on the 300.

Yep, fully understand that going in. That specifically asked me to shoot the wedding and I agreed. They really can’t afford to pay a wedding photog and I really thought the pics were more important for them to have than for me to enjoy the wedding.

I had a 17-55 2.8 a year or so ago but had to sell it (along with my 70-200 2.8 VR also, arrg). Was such a good lens have to re-buy now.

Thanks for the great examples from all the weddings you have done in the past, great stuff.

Can’t wait to see how it turns out. I’m going to be posting later this week about some of the post processing things I do in Aperture to give the photos some pop.
