My college professor and author David Needham. I want to be him when I grow up. If you have never read any of his books, do so. “Alive For the First Time” changed me.

My parents. My Mom, who was a faith rock and kept her family together when it didn’t benefit her. My Pop, who has pointed me to righteousness through Grace (especially the last few years). They both instilled in me a love for Jesus since birth.

My parents, obviously. Strangely enough, my Dad has been a huge influence since he went to be with the Lord. There’s not a day that goes by I don’t remember his example.

One of my mentors is Eric Evans. He was our church’s music minister when I was in middle and most of high school. Until I met him, I thought worship leading was a pretty silly job.

Richard Boland, head of the music department at my college. He is one of the most spiritual and genuine men I have ever had the privilege of knowing.

There’s a host of others, mostly ministers and friends: Lonnie Lehrman, a high school friend and now a pastor; Kenny Gillming, my college pastor and counselor; Richard Dennis, a middle school youth minister; Steve Switzer, took over as both youth and music at my church after Eric and Richard departed.

This list goes on and on, but I’ll refrain from doing the same.
